The Lord says, "It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, But if you trust in the Lord you are safe." Proverbs 29:25 NIV. If you believe the New Testament, what's wrong with the Old Testament? Have you forgotten that, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever? Hebrews 13:8 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. Many of those folks calling the names are serving a god made of wood or stone and neither one of these things bring forgiveness: Only the Living God can forgive you of your sins. So why are we concerned that people call us names? Why don't we speak up in the break-rooms at work when others are offending our Lord by their filthy talk and or gestures? Why do you so easily fall into the trap of e-mailing chain letters that stand against our beliefs? Why are God's people silent? Why are men so considerate of the devil's feelings? Is it because of the persecution? The fear of what others may think or say about you? Why are we cowing down before the world and Satan? Has God not prepared an army to fight for these causes? Has God not promised to be with us in the time of our troubles? Has He not promised to uphold us with the right hand of His righteousness? But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matthew 10:19 and 20 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:8 If your not serving the Lord with all of your heart, mind and might, then my friend who are you serving? For no man can serve two masters! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mam'-mom. Matthew 6:24 Now are you beginning to understand why man must suffer? When you stand up to the devil let it be known that you have a mighty promise, a promise that has always kept us safe when serving the Lord. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 My words sound harsh, I sound critical of others, but when you have known the Lords fury in your own life, it then becomes your responsibility to help turn others around when their error's are visible. My friend we are not serving God's purpose if we continue to sit back in silence. God places us in certain places at certain times, and it is not to cow down to Satan. You are there to lead a lost sheep home safely where he can be taken care of by the Good Shepherd just the way you are. You can change nothing by yourself, but everything with prayer. The choice my friend is yours!
