WILL A MAN ROB GOD? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, (Test Me) saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive. As a child I was taught this scripture was in the Old Testament and had no meaning for today. And that the only reason this was preached about so much now was for the quick rich preacher's to get their pockets lined easily as they did the Lord's work. When I married I simply didn't believe in paying tithes at all, after all my parents and family taught me I didn't have to, and my parents were no liars. Then to have this re-inforced in my mind, as I attended a crusade given by a well know evangelist and for the first hour all he did is have the usher's to pass and re-pass the collection baskets as he wanted one hundred people to give one thousand dollars each and he wouldn't preach until the money was counted, and if it wasn't what he wanted he sent the ushers back out into the congregation again. As I looked around at the congregation it just made me sick, so many of these people were giving and giving in order to hear this preacher preach, and here he was dressed in a slick looking suit, suede shoes, white shirt and tie and had just arrived in a limo parked outside. This preacher kept telling the people how poor he was and he just needed to make sure his needs were met as he travelled around the country. This may sound like an excuse but it wasn't, it just re-enforced the things I had been taught as this man begged for money. Like so many other people are taught throughout the world not to give, but this teaching was wrong and many of us received a curse from God because of it so Pastor's be sure to inform new christians about why tithes are paid and show them scriptures to back up your words as a favor to me please. I ended up leaving because I was so irritated at this well known evangelist who is no longer an evangelist, but people at that time were treating him as some kind of god and I knew this was wrong from the word go.

Bulldog and Little Spider have also robbed God unintentionally in the past due to worldly foolishness, but we have also paid for this great sin over the years, as God placed his curse upon us allowing us to prosper in nothing.
